From the 19th to the 21st of October, the annual Colloquium Dental in Monticiari – the largest dental exhibition in Italy. The motto of this year's event was: “Analog Limited – Digital Unlimited? Digital and/or analog dentistry and dental technology.'
Of course, such a spectacular event in the dental world cannot happen without our participation. Dr. Diana Bushkalova and dental technician Ivan Paliyski attended the Colloquium, and the main idea of our participation was to enrich the teamwork in the clinic and, in particular, the work in the field of dentist-dental technician.
The event was filled with a rich scientific program, including lectures, discussions and practical sessions with leading specialists in the field of dentistry. Highlights were on key topics related to the future of dental care. Discussions included the new possibilities offered by digital dentistry, the prevention and treatment of dental diseases and the relationship between oral health and the general health of patients.
On the very first day of the Colloquium, a course with a live patient was held on the topic "Aesthetics-Adhesion-Minimal Invasiveness". The presented treatment plan for solving an aesthetic problem included all phases of treatment and clearly showed how the work and communication between dentists and dental technicians in a clinic can be naturally improved.
The second day of the event covered the latest innovations in diagnostics and software automation. The digital workflow of all types of restorations was shown. New concepts in the rehabilitation of complex dental cases - from analog to digital solutions - were discussed. Numerous examples in the field of implantology, prosthetics, treatment of edentulous patients and state-of-the-art zirconia restorations. Analog and digital solutions were compared.
The last day of the event was set for The Biologically Oriented Preparation Technique (BOPT) and its interaction with new digital technologies. The lecture was conducted by our friend Dr. Ignacio Loy. Earlier in the year, in June in Cagliari, Dr. Bushkalova attended a training organized by Dr. Ignacio Loy, precisely on the subject of BOPT techniques, so at this Colloquium we further developed and enriched our knowledge in this field.
Colloquium Dental 2023 provided us with the opportunity to meet many professionals and establish new partnerships. This exchange of ideas and experience is essential to the development of the services we offer and the improvement of patient care. We look forward to the next edition, because this event brings dentists together and supports scientific achievements and innovations in the field of dentistry!
