Pediatric dentistry

Working with children is a challenge for a dentist. These patients are particularly distrustful due to fear of the unknown in the office and the dentist. It is very important for them to be predisposed to overcome doubts and pain in order to become good patients in the future.

At MEGADENT, we provide motivation for treatment, we treat children with patience and attention, and the treatment is accompanied by games and jokes so that the children feel in a friendly and pleasant atmosphere.

Healthy baby teeth are important both for the child's normal nutrition and for the proper and timely growth of permanent teeth. The appearance of caries on baby teeth is characterized by white spots on the enamel until the color changes to brown. In baby teeth, complications of caries (pulpitis, gangrene, abscess) occur quickly. Early diagnosis and adequate treatment are of particular importance in order to keep teeth healthy. It should also not be forgotten that prevention of disease is the best treatment. Prevention is expressed in eating quality food, preventing common diseases, regular and good oral hygiene. Do not forget that parents are the ones who build oral hygiene habits in their children! It is necessary to brush their teeth twice - morning and evening with a brush and appropriate toothpaste, use floss, gargle with mouthwash. Parents should regularly take the child for preventive examinations, provide him with enough vitamins and minerals, and limit harmful foods and habits.

At MEGADENT, we also offer silanization (sealing) of the fissures of children's teeth, which prevents the development of caries. The procedure is performed regularly over a certain period of time until the child is 12-14 years old, when good hygiene habits have already been established.

Recently, there has been much talk about the prevention of dental health, but little has been done. The state and current legislation have left dental care as an initiative of each patient. The level of health culture among parents of children must be at the necessary level to prevent the little patients from being too vulnerable.Parents, children should visit the dental office at least once a year.
